Ariel Invernizzi Oviedo - Antique (February 12, 2022 Neue Numeral)

Antique is an album that falls within the sound universe of jazz, both because of its performers and because of the way it was recorded. The songs are compositions that emerged from group improvisation. Each song was worked with a conceptual direction, using the language and resources of each musician as a means to compose. Each one has its own singularity and was conceived as a total tour throughout the album. Antique seeks to bring together free improvisation, composition and structure and flexibility of roles. It was recorded with the musicians in the same room and without using headphones, with vintage microphone settings, thus recreating the rawest sound of the oldest jazz recordings. They are all first shots, without editing, later.
