Barbara Gryfe - What The World Needs Now (Majik Bus 2018)


Former child star Barbara was only 18 years old when she recorded this slice of sunshine pop for CBC Records. ‘What The World Needs Now’ was recorded at Eastern Sound Company in Toronto on May 12th and 28th, 1969. The orchestra was arranged and conducted by Rick Wilkins and the record was produced by Dave Bird. A regular performer for the CBC, Barbara had appeared on most of the CBC Networks shows and her winning song ‘Colours Of The Rainbow’ at the CBC Song Market 1968 contest is included on this album.
