Deniss Pashkevich and Mikko Gunu Karjalainen Quintet - Reflections (2021 Riga Room Records)

DENISS PASHKEVICH is a saxophonist, flautist, composer, producer, ad-libber, educator and a prominent figure in the Baltics jazz with his name included in the European Jazz Tree. 

In 2017 his album “Yours Faithfully” won The Latvian Annual Music Recording Award "Zelta mikrofons" (known as "Latvian Grammy") for the best jazz album. In 2019 album "Variations" that is recored together with Vyacheslav Ganelin and Arkady Gotesman got 4 star review on one of the most prestigious magazines "Downbeat" and got included in their "2019: The Year’s Top-Rated Albums" and got rewarded as the best jazz album in Latvia. In his career Deniss Pashkevich recorded more than 50 albums.

He regularly plays together with world class players such as Randy Brecker, Seamus Blake, Aaron Parks, Tim Hagans and many more and visited festival all over the world. Deniss Pashkevich is an official artist-endorser of eight companies such as Marca Reeds, Kay Siebold Mouthpieces, TT Mouthpieces, Erica Synths, Gamechanger Audio, Arturia. He plays on special made custom instrument - Riga Winds "Pashkevich signature" tenor saxophone that is created in cooperation with German master Bernd Schille. 

He's the founder of "Riga Room" - the organisation thats managing musicians and organising jazz concerts and workshops in cooperation with many organisations in Europe.

The Collective has been playing together for many years, bringing the legacy of the jazz saxophonist John Coltrane to the ears of today's listeners. United Jazz Collective - United (2018)

International quartet United Jazz Collective has been performing to public acclaim in Europe, the Baltic States, Asia & Russia. With four composers & four band leaders in their own right, they are praised by critics who note a direction of multicultural and rhythmic music in the tradition of the iconic 80's band Weather Report, with each composition taking the audience on an adventure.

The 3. album by the Deniss Pashkevich & Christian Frank Co-operation. This time they have formed a quintet with the american rising stars pianist Aaron Parks and the highly respected danish drummer Lisbeth Diers and the young, but allready established bassist, Kenneth Dahl Knudsen. The music is composed by Deniss Pashkevich and Christian Frank - mostly atmospheric ballads - calmness and relaxation is experienced all through the album and Aaron Parks shows his incredible talent both in his way of backing up the rest of the musicians and as a soloist. 

"Yours Faithfully" has a deep and sofisticated vibe and it will be a must for any musiclover with a taste of quiet but intens modern jazz.

The CD “Deniss Pashkevich Hard Bop Legacy”, has been recorded during live session @ jazz nights associated with Andaluzijas Suns jazz events. Produced by Deniss Pashkevich. 

This album will give you an idea and a great opportunity to enjoy well-known jazz and "hard bop" style compositions. Recording is dedication to jazz music performed in 50th’60th. That indicates the roots in Latvia during that period of time. Recording is dedication to our teachers and friends representing jazz music. To mention the most outstanding musicians as saxophonist Raimonds Raubiško, trumpeter Gunars Rozenbergs and many other artists who has shared knowledge of "be bop" and "hard bop" music style to the nation.
