Inspired by the Anishinaabe legend of the Sleeping Bear, this album embodies the transformation that comes from experiencing life's hills and valleys. Beauty is uncovered in the most tumultuous seasons, but the Legend of Sleeping Bear tells us that these journeys can leave an everlasting legacy, inspiring hope for generations to come.
Meg Brennan is a multi-woodwindist, composer, and bandleader, widely regarded for her versatility across musical genres. She has performed with esteemed musicians such as Rodney Whitaker, Ingrid Jensen, Andrew Bishop, and Ellen Rowe. She is a graduate of Michigan State University and the University of Michigan. Of special note are her mentorships with Diego Rivera, Jen Shyu, and Miles Okazaki.
